Who Are We...
The Golden Crown New Years Brigade was organized in 1958. Our clubhouse is located on 3rd Street or "Mummers Row", in the heart of South Phila-delphia, where Mummery began over a century ago. Our march in the 2008 New Years Day Parade will mark our 50th Anniversary. We have always represented our division with pride and class and are truly a family oriented brigade. Over time Golden Crown has progressed to include female performers. We are now a brigade full of men and women who couldn't be prouder to march elbow-to-elbow and plume-to-plume with one another. Over the past 50 years, Golden Crown has maintained the spirit and tradition of Mummery and has had the good fortune to remain a top competitor in the Fancy Brigade Division.
To those who helped make Robo-Motion possible: Bob Finnegan, Dave Moscinski, Geri Vanore, the float crew, Scott & Light Action, Eric Bartello, and as always our family,friends, & the best marshalls...The officers and members of Golden Crown thank you for everything you have all done for us.
